From our humble beginnings in 1976, the business has gone from strength to strength and this would not have been possible without our team of skilled and knowledgeable staff. As a testament to our success, we now employ over 1,200 employees globally.

Every year we celebrate The Senator Group Long Service Awards Evening. The evening is all about celebrating the employees who've been a long-standing part of our extended family and is a chance for the business to show appreciation for their loyalty.

The evening consists of a three-course dinner and drinks at Mytton Fold Hotel, followed by the awards ceremony and entertainment throughout the evening.

We’re always thinking about the future. In 2021 we had a total of 35 apprentices undertaking our apprenticeship programme. 19 of those were pursuing new qualifications and a further 16 were undertaking additional apprenticeship programmes to upskill. As we continually invest in technology, it’s even more important we strive to nurture younger, local, more tech-mind individuals, giving them hands-on experience, and helping us stay ahead of the game.

Whilst we have some of the most sophisticated robots working in our factories, we still rely on the craftspeople throughout our business, to give our products the human touch and level of detail that no machine can replicate.

So, even for an advanced manufacturing business like ours, we know that people are and will continue to be the foundation of our success. Our Bright Ideas scheme rewards employees who submit ideas that could improve our business.

The Senate is a cross-departmental committee, nominated and chosen by their peers, that meets monthly with the executive team to discuss new ideas, communicate opinions from the business, and support a robust communications strategy.

We also have steering groups and committees for topics we are passionate about – like charity and community, sustainability, and skills.
