Commercial Interiors UK is the UK's business association for the contract furnishing industry, covering the full spectrum of interior products and services in the UK and globally. They are the only association representing commercial interiors as a whole and collectively their 200+ members represent an unrivalled association of businesses and leaders who champion the best of UK interior and product design, and sustainable manufacturing.
The Panaz CIUK Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by Rollie Attard, CEO of Panaz Fabric and Wallcoverings, another Lancashire based, family-owned manufacturer. The award, founded by his father Tony, was presented to Colin in recognition of his services to sustainable manufacturing, and his positive contribution to the people and county of Lancashire.
Colin founded The Senator Group in 1976, from humble beginnings in a small village in Lancashire, it has grown into one of the largest contract furniture manufacturers in the world. Since the beginning, Colin has led the company with a strong sense of responsibility for the community, the environment and The Senator Group’s valued people. He is the driving force behind the recent revival of The Royal Lancashire Show, a prestigious agricultural event with its origins dating back to the 18th century. Now held on the land surrounding Colin’s house, the show is also the venue of The Senator Group’s annual employee family fun day.
