Each year, we hold our 'Inspire Awards' event, which is just one of the many ways we say thank you to our employees for their hard work and dedication. As well as recognising the loyalty of our long serving people, we also champion those who go above and beyond. This year, we welcomed 200 guests to Mytton Fold Hotel for a fantastic evening of fun, food, and music.

Every quarter, we nominate an outstanding employee from each site to be ‘Employee of the Quarter’. The nominees are presented with a certificate and bottle of champagne at our special winners’ day, which includes a celebratory lunch with the MD. They automatically become finalists for the prestigious Employee of the Year Award, which this year was announced as Matt Parker from Logistics.

Internal Sales were crowned ‘Team of the Year’, made up of Emma Higgins, Natalie Price, Michelle Lock, Nicola Berry, Keeley Roberts and Louise Pye.

We had joint winners for Apprentice of the Year, Harvey Bateman from Seating Production and Blake Townsend from Machine Shop.

The Bright Idea of the Year winner was Lesley Ann McMullan, who suggested an improvement to reduce the number of rejects when sewing covers. Her idea was simple, but brilliant - to add twine, to give sewers a linear guide while sewing. The twine can also be used by upholsterers, who can pull it to reduce any creases. Our Bright Ideas Scheme rewards suggestions that make us more productive, efficient, sustainable, or improve our quality. Winners receive vouchers up to the value of £500, and the Platinum winner gets a holiday!

Keeping our people safe is paramount, which is why we like to officially recognise Health & Safety at our Inspire Awards. Reece Eccles from our Teal division was announced as the winner, for his diligence and dedication.

As a family owned business, we like to recognise significant workplace milestones and honour our employees' incredible dedication and loyalty. As well as giving awards to those with 10 and 15 years’ continuous service, we also celebrated eight people who reached their 25 year milestone!

Congratulations to all our finalists, and the deserving winners!
